# How do I change my Shape's vanity URL?

> Learn what to do if you want a different Shape URL.

Currently, you can’t directly change a Shape’s username, as this feature was causing issues. If having a custom URL is important, you can **duplicate** a Shape from its **Settings** page. When duplicating, the nickname you enter will influence the new URL/username.
