# Changing a Vanity URL

> Changing your Shape's username.

Currently, you can’t directly change a Shape’s username, as this feature was causing issues. If having a custom URL is important, you can **duplicate** a Shape from its **Settings** page. When duplicating, the nickname you enter will influence the new URL/username.

We are currently unsure if this feature will be returning to Shapes in the future.
